Builtsy

Terms of Use

Effective ·

These terms apply when you use Builtsy — to apply to a project, bid in a Bid Room, or run your own projects. By using Builtsy you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

What Builtsy is (and isn’t)

  • Builtsy is a tool. Project owners decide who to shortlist and hire; Builtsy doesn’t recommend, vet, license or guarantee anyone.
  • Any agreement to do work is between the project owner and the contractor. Builtsy isn’t a party to it and isn’t responsible for the work, payment, permits or disputes.
  • Information on a project page or in a Bid Room comes from the owner. Check it yourself (for example at the walkthrough) before you rely on it in a bid.

Your account

  • Use your own email and keep sign-in codes to yourself. You’re responsible for what happens in your account.
  • You must be 18+ and able to enter a contract.

Your content

  • What you submit — applications, bids, photos, notes, questions — stays yours. You let Builtsy store and show it to the people you shared it with (for a bid, that’s the project owner) so the service works.
  • Only upload things you have the right to share. Don’t post anything false, misleading, unlawful, or someone else’s private information.

Project information is confidential

If you’re invited to a Bid Room, keep the address, photos and details to yourself and use them only to prepare your bid.

Fair use

Don’t misuse Builtsy: no spamming, scraping, trying to see other people’s data, or interfering with the service. We may suspend accounts that do.

Free features and changes

Some features are free and may change or end. We’ll give reasonable notice of big changes. You can stop using Builtsy any time and ask us to delete your info.

No warranties; limits on liability

Builtsy is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for anything arising from work or agreements between owners and contractors, and our total liability to you is limited to $100 or what you paid us in the past 12 months, whichever is more.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado.
